To recognize our volunteers, we will be giving away prizes to those that have excelled in one of the categories below. To be considered for a prize you must turn in all your forms, photos, and/or volunteer hours to us by October 29, 2013. Please mail them to . Winners will be notified and announced by November 19, 2013.

  • Most occurrences updated - individuals
    Awards go to the top 3 individual or small group Treasure Hunters, for updating the most rare plant occurrences. Winners choose from attendance to a CNPS workshop, gift certificates, a year-long CNPS membership, or CNPS books (depending on which place you take).
  • Most occurrences updated – chapters
    The top three chapters with the most rare plant occurrences are recognized on the RPTH website and are given awards that will help them continue their field work in the future. In the past, chapters have chosen plant presses, Jepson Manuals, office supplies, and other field gear to help with future Rare Plant Treasure Hunts.
  • Photo contest
    Enter a photo you’ve taken of a rare plant, rare plant community or even people on a treasure hunt. The top three photographers will receive a CNPS book or poster, and have their photo displayed on our blog, Facebook page and website! Files sizes should be at least 900 KB in size. Send them in to . Individuals are limited to 6 entries.
  • Most volunteer hours
    The individual who contributes the most volunteer hours to the RPTH will also be recognized and given a CNPS book or poster as an award.
